Silhill

Work in Silhill is now completed.
Route C runs from Solihull Town Centre to Damson Parkway. We are now completing the widening of the pathway along Damson Parkway between JLR Gate 1 and Lugtrout Lane.
Pathway improvements between Union Road and Cornyx Lane are now finished. The crossings on Route C at Cornyx Lane, which now enable improved pedestrian access to key shops in the area and at School Lane are complete.
Nearly 12,000 square metres of wildflower turf now blooms opposite Solihull rail station (pictured). Nearly 40 trees have been planted on Streetsbrook Road and in the Glebe Road area.

The main work on Route K along Streetsbrook Road between Station Approach and Bryanston Road is finished. This route mostly involved an upgrade of the existing footway to aid the natural drainage of surface water. There has been bulb planting and wildflower seeding along parts of Lode Lane. The bulbs are a mixture of crocuses, snowdrops and some native daffodils.
During autumn 2020 we set out wildflower turf on Glebe Road and planted bulbs and primroses on Damson Parkway.
These works form part of a borough-wide project which is designed to make Solihull greener. Part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the project will open up and improve existing routes, allowing wildlife to flourish and helping people to walk and cycle across the Borough.
